The Roman Forum is an extraordinary archaeological site at the heart of Rome, containing remains of the monuments and administrative buildings of an empire that streched from England to Asia Minor.
It is overlooked by the Palatine Hill, a former residential district for Roman patricians, which, later on, will be turned into an immense imperial palace, becoming the very heart of the Roman Empire. The Colosseum is without doubt the greatest symbol of Rome, and the Arch of Costantine nearby, reflects the glory of the Imperial era.
